ACRE Property Co.

We built a commercial real estate website with filterable property listings for ACRE Property Co., a commercial property management, leasing, sales and development firm in Dallas-Fort Worth, from the firm’s Figma design. The firm works with property owners, investors and businesses across North Texas. The site has five pages: Home, About Us, Services, Properties and Contact Us. Its Services page covers property management, leasing and tenant representation, sales and acquisitions, and development. An About Us page introduces the company and its team, and a Contact Us page carries a Gravity Forms contact form.

  • CMS: WordPress
  • Theme: Hello Elementor child theme
  • Builder: Elementor Pro
  • Integrations: JetEngine (Properties content type, listing grid), JetSmartFilters (AJAX filters), Gravity Forms
  • Live site: acre.bigddev.com

The brief:

The Figma design for ACRE Property Co. had one desktop frame for each of Home, About Us, Services, Contact Us and Properties. The frames were drawn for a 1730 pixel desktop width. The brief was to turn it into a working WordPress site, with a way for visitors to filter property listings by type and availability.

Nothing was drawn for tablet or mobile. The homepage frame also used details such as blend modes and a heavy glow that Elementor has no setting for.

What we did:

Each property is one entry in a JetEngine content type on the commercial real estate website we built for a Dallas-Fort Worth firm, and two filters update the grid without a reload.

A commercial real estate website from a desktop-only design

We built Home, About Us, Services, Properties and Contact Us in Elementor Pro on a Hello Elementor child theme, to the design’s 1730 pixel desktop width. The header is sticky and turns solid navy as visitors scroll. A call to action band sits in the footer template, and the Contact page uses a second footer without it. Enquiries come in through a Gravity Forms contact form, and the site also has a Site Map and a Privacy Policy page.

Because the file had no tablet or mobile frames, we proposed layouts for both, got them approved and built them. The homepage frame also had 12 details Elementor has no setting for, such as blend modes and a large blur glow. The host strips SVG filters, so we baked the hero glow into a lossless WebP with transparency instead, which keeps its transparency without losing quality.

Two filters on the property grid, with no reload

Properties are a JetEngine custom content type with 8 fields. There is no single page per property. Each card links to a Google Maps search built from its address and opens in a new tab. The Properties page shows a 3 by 3 grid with two AJAX dropdown filters, Property Type with 5 options and Availability with 4. The filters run on JetSmartFilters. Visitors pick a Property Type or an Availability, and the grid updates in place. The homepage shows the first 3 items of the same list, so the Properties page and the homepage draw on the same 8-field content type.

Checks across 26 screen sizes and 48 links

We tested the two filters and every page at desktop, tablet and phone widths before handover. The media library holds only WebP and SVG files.

We white labeled this build for our partner BigDCreative. Our National Wholesale Supply website is another Figma build with JetEngine post types for BigDCreative.

Results:

  • 5 pages built from a desktop-only Figma design
  • Properties held as an 8-field JetEngine content type
  • 2 AJAX filters over a 3 by 3 property grid
  • 12 Figma effects with no Elementor setting solved in the build
  • Tablet and phone layouts worked out with no design for them
