DTX Sports Medicine

For DTX Sports Medicine, a sports medicine and injury care clinic in Dallas, we built a sports medicine website from the clinic’s Figma design. The clinic sits on Inwood Road and serves Farmers Branch, Addison, Dallas and the surrounding areas. Its team, led by Dr. Brian Mann, has worked with athletes from the NFL, NBA, PGA Tour, NCAA and U.S. Olympic programs. The clinic brings that same level of care to every patient. Treatments include chiropractic care, dry needling, cupping, sports recovery, spinal decompression, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, post-surgical rehab and postpartum recovery. The clinic also runs corporate wellness programs for employers and a private concierge service for professional athletes and executives. Its recovery lab, PRO/Lab, offers an infrared sauna and a cold plunge. It accepts most major insurance plans and checks each patient’s benefits before their appointment.

  • CMS: WordPress

The brief:

There was nothing old to move: DTX Sports Medicine had only a Figma design. The job covered the whole design, from the homepage through the service and injury pages to the team, recovery lab and shop. Between them, those pages had to hold a long menu of treatments and injuries.

The clinic also wanted its team, recovery lab and shop to grow without a developer. Building each of those pages by hand would have looked fine on launch day. After that, every new doctor, treatment or product would need a developer, and over time the pages would drift apart.

What we did:

Doctor profiles, services, a recovery lab and a shop share templates on the WordPress site we built from the Figma design of a Dallas sports medicine and injury care clinic.

How the sports medicine website holds every treatment

First came the parts every page shares. We set up WordPress and Elementor Pro, loaded the brand colours and fonts, and built a single header and footer for the whole site. The menu now lives in one place, and a change there reaches every page. Next came the homepage, with its hero, services overview, Common Injuries tabs, corporate wellness band, insurance logos and latest articles. Then we moved on to the inner pages: services such as chiropractic care and sports recovery, injury pages like headache and migraine, and the PRO/Lab recovery lab page.

A template each for team, services, lab and shop

The team, services, recovery lab and shop sections each have a template of their own. The doctor profiles and the product grid are JetEngine listings. A new doctor, treatment or product takes on the same layout as the rest, and the clinic can add one without calling in a developer. The shop is a grid of products the clinic recommends, each linking out to Amazon, and gift cards are sold through Square. We white labeled this build for our partner BigDCreative. The same WordPress and Elementor Pro stack runs the Heart of Texas Lashes website with online booking.

An audit of every page after the build

With the site up, we audited it page by page. We tidied the content and the links across the site and left every layout as it was. Elementor stores page text inside each widget rather than as plain page content. A blanket find and replace on the database would have missed the text in the shared header, footer and templates, and it could have broken layouts. So we made the changes inside Elementor’s own page data and reopened each edited page in the editor to check it.

Last, we tested the forms on the appointment, careers and landing pages. We checked the key pages at six screen widths, phones included, so nothing scrolls sideways. Then we handed the sports medicine website over, ready for the clinic’s own domain, where it now runs.

Results:

  • From the Figma design: the homepage, 6 templates and 26 pages built on them
  • New doctors, treatments and products can be added without a developer
  • Header, footer and menu set up once for the whole site
  • Every page audited after the build, with content and links tidied
  • 20 key pages tested at 6 screen widths with no sideways scroll
