Latco Truss
Latco Truss, a long-established maker of wood roof and floor trusses in Lincoln, Arkansas, came to us to redesign its truss manufacturer website. Its technicians lay out and build trusses for residential, multi-family, commercial and agricultural projects. The work happens in the company’s Northwest Arkansas plant. Its own drivers then haul the finished trusses to job sites on full-roller trailers. Latco serves builders across Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Builders get advice, design and an estimate from the same team that makes and delivers the product.

A builder who needs trusses wants two answers before calling. Does the plant build their kind of project, and will it deliver to their site? Latco’s old truss manufacturer website ran on WordPress too, on an older multipurpose theme with a header slider. Its menu had three links: Products & Services, About and Contact.
Most of the company story, from full service to the delivery fleet, sat on that one homepage. The homepage had a page title and no meta description. A new look on the same layout would still have kept every answer on a single page.
What we did:
Builders visiting the redesigned site of a roof and floor truss manufacturer in Northwest Arkansas find a page for each building type, a delivery map and FAQ answers on the pages where they ask them. We started from the builders’ questions instead of the old layout. We read the old site and wrote down each question a builder brings to a truss plant. Then we planned the new pages so that every page answers one of them.
Answering builders on the truss manufacturer website
We gave the homepage a new design. The hero leads with Latco’s roof and floor trusses. Further down, a row of tiles covers single family homes, multi family projects, schools, healthcare and nursing homes, light commercial and agriculture. Each tile opens a page of its own, so a contractor reaches one of 6 building-type pages straight from the homepage. Get a Quote now sits in the header on every page. The menu around it also reaches custom trusses, careers, service areas and the blog. The latest articles on the homepage come from a JetEngine listing, so a new post shows up there without anyone editing the page.
FAQs and a delivery map
Delivery is the other thing builders ask about, so we gave it room. Roof Trusses, Custom Trusses and Service Areas each carry a short FAQ section. Together they hold 10 answers, each on the page where the question comes up. The Service Areas page maps the 5 states Latco serves and names each one. A builder can check coverage at a glance, then ask for a quote from the same page.
The scope set a limit too. The inner pages had to share templates, while each page kept its own content. We moved the old content onto those templates. The Latco team can now build a new page or change an FAQ answer in the editor.
Home and About on their old URLs
The new build stayed on the same domain, and we kept the old URL slugs where we could. Home and About kept their exact addresses. The old Contact page now 301 redirects to the new Contact Us page, so old links to it still land. We also set a separate title and meta description in Yoast SEO for most pages. Before launch we checked the build on desktop, tablet and phone. Then the new truss manufacturer website went live.
We white labeled this build for our partner BigDCreative. For another manufacturer, we designed the Swifter Fans website for an industrial fan manufacturer in Figma.
- 6 building-type pages, each one tile away from the homepage
- 10 FAQ answers placed on the pages where builders ask them
- Service Areas page with a map and list of 5 states
- Home and About kept their URLs, old Contact page 301 redirected
- Most pages with their own Yoast SEO title and meta description
